Leader and Other Adult Requirements

 

All troops attending the event must complete a Travel Approval Form on which all adults attending must be listed. NEEDED BY THE JANUARY SERVICE UNIT MEETING (1/13/15).

 

This form is used to complete a background check and screening process. This includes non-member adults too, although it is recommended that all adults attending overnight trips be registered members. The Council will directly contact the adults listed on your forms to complete the process.

Cabins

 

How many beds are in a cabin? 12. There are 8 beds and 2 bunk beds.

 

If I have more people, do I need another cabin? 14 is the maximum the cabin could allow with two sleeping on the floor.

 

What are the rules for decorating?

  • All supplies must fit in TWO large bins per cabin with the top snapped closed.

  • The scouts must make and install the decorations with minimal adult assistants.

  • All troops will decorate their cabins on SATURDAY between 1 and 2. Troops that start early or go past the end time will be disqualified.

  • Awards will be announced at dinner.

SWAPS (Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere)

 

How many should we make? It depends on the size of your troop. Make too many and you can "flood the market." We recommend making 10-15 per girl.

Finances

 

How much is Camporee? $84 per attendee, scout or adult.

 

When is it due? The $25 deposit is due by the December Service Unit Meeting (12/9/14) and the balance by the January Services Unit Meeting (1/13/15).

 

Who do I make ithe check payable to? Make it payable to "Three Leaves Service Unit" on one Troop check.

Can Daisies Attend?

 

If all of the girls in the Daisy Troop have followed a trip progression beginning with short local trips and advancing to longer trips, including at least one overnight, the Daisy Troop may attend. The fee for all-day Saturday events is $35 per person. Please let me know if you need any extra assistance with your young ladies. Helpful Cadettes/Seniors are available.
